JAMMU, Feb 23: Janipur police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long in attempt to murder case.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Janipur police station conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since August 2015.
The accused has been identified as Yousuf, son of Abdul Gani, a resident of Janipur.
He was wanted in attempt to murder case registered with Janipur police station. In the case, the accused had attacked Mushi Shah, a resident of Janipur with sticks to kill him.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Janipur police station Inspector RS Bhau made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sandeep Choudhary, SP City Dr Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
