Teaching of Urdu in schools

Sir,
How unfortunate it is when even being the State language, Urdu stands neglected in terms of its promotion and enrichment. In numerous schools, particularly in  private institutions, there exists no provision for urdu teaching. The Govt. schools, though can’t say no to it, but in the absence of Urdu teachers almost in all schools, teaching of Urdu stands affected badly.
The deptts like Police, Revenue, forest and judiciary, use it adequately. Obviously, the chances of employment get restricted for those who aren’t knowing Urdu. When learning of Urdu is necessary for IAS/KAS cadre, what justifies its not being vigorously taught in schools, including private institutions who contribute highly in the field of education. How shameful and disgusting it becomes when a well-readman approaches to a gentleman for getting a piece of paper read which is in Urdu.
In all conditions, a provision for teaching Urdu is of paramount importance and any failure in this direction would mean the Govts’ lackadaisical attitude for its promotion. Since regions and religions are no barriers in learning any language, every effort for promotion of urdu is considered inadequate-for wholesome development of our youths, learning of Urdu language can’t be dispensed with. The Govt should therefore ensure providing Urdu teachers in all the schools and also to implement the scheme in private schools too, where majority of the students feel comfortable to join now-a-days due to declining conditions in Govt Schools.
Yours etc..
