SAMBA, Feb 24: Police arrested a driver along with 150 kilograms poppy straw from Ghagwal.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ghagwal police station laid a naka and intercepted a tempo traveler bearing registration number PBO1-9975.
During checking, police recovered 150 kilograms poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested the driver.
The accused has been identified as Ashok Kumar (45), son of Kewal Singh, a resident of Hoshiarpur Punjab.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered at Ghagwal police station and investigation started.
