Day light firing on LoC in KG

JAMMU, Sept 10: Pakistan Army today again resorted to heavy firing in broad day light at Doda battalion (Krishna Ghati) sector in Poonch district, violating ceasefire. Indian side retaliated.
Official sources said Pakistan Army started heavy firing from their forward positions at Doda battalion sector (Krishna Ghati) in Poonch district at 3.45 pm today. Pakistan Army used automatic weapons and Rocket Projectile Guns (RPGs) in the firing.
Indian side gave caliber retaliation to silence Pakistani guns.
The firing continued for about half an hour.
“There was no movement of infiltrators during the firing’’, sources said, adding that Indian side didn’t suffer any casualties or damage.
Pakistan had been making attempts to infiltrate militants from Krishna Ghati sector for past quite sometime by resorting to firing amounting to ceasefire violations.
Army conducted searches along the Line of Control (LoC) after Pakistani firing in anticipation of infiltration attempt by the militants. However, no movement of the militants was detected, sources said.
