UDHAMPUR, Feb 25: Udhampur Police has seized 39, Kg Poppy Straw (Bhuki), which was being smuggled from Kashmir to Jammu in truck.
Police has also seized the truck and arrested its driver, who was identified as Manminder Singh of Sandrari Chack.
Acting on specific information, Police party intercepted the truck, bearing registration number JK02AT-6824 near Jakheni and recovered 39 kg Poppy Straw (Bhuki), which was concealed in the vehicle.
In this connection, a case FIR No.58/16 under section 815 NDPS Act, has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
