RAMBAN, Feb 25: Police arrested a man along with illicit liquor pouches from Bus Stand area here.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban Police Station intercepted a person at Bus Stand.
During checking, police recovered 37 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the man on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Faquir Chand, son of Sukhia, a resident of Kainthi, district Ramban.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native village for sale among the masses for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 33/16 under Section 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Police Station Inspector Pardeep Kumar Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Rafiq Choudhary and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
