SRINAGAR, Feb 25: A person was killed while two others were injured in different road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said a load Carrier bearing registration number JK04B-7339 driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad Sofi turned turtle at link road near Saloora in Ganderbal district, resulting in on spot death of the driver. “After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his next of kin for last rites. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a Mahindra Goods Carrier vehicle bearing registration number JK01A8-4081 driven by Mudasir Ahmad Ganaie turned turtle on National Highway near Floor Mill Uranhal in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to the driver. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said an Alto-800 car bearing registration number JK03E-0276 skidded off the road near Gas Agency Drugmulla in Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to a lady namely Hajra Begum. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
