SAMBA, Feb 26: The District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of School Education Department.
The meeting was attended by CEO Samba O.P Bhagat, ZEOs, Principals and Headmasters of Higher Secondary and High Schools of Samba District.
The DDC directed the Zonal Education Officers to furnish details of schools if any which are functioning without permission/recognition and make sure that amount collected by such schools is refunded to students.
They were further directed to make sure that no school Government or private functions without obtaining Fire Safety Certificate , Chemical Safety Certificate and Building Safety certificate from the concerned departments. The inspecting officers for recognition/permission of private schools were directed to ensure that all those schools which have been granted conditional permissions fulfil the conditions within one month if minor formalities are pending and within three months if major formalities are pending. The DDC also emphasised on ensuring free and fair Board examinations.
The CEO Samba was directed to make sure that Biometric attendance systems are installed in all schools by March 31
Besides the DDOs of School Education Department were directed to maintain the service books, increments and G.P.F statements of employees up to 31st March and furnish a compliance report in this context.
