NEW DELHI, Feb 27: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section to Puducherry and Bengaluru rose by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today, supported by busy cargo movements against paucity of trucks.
Transporters said less position of trucks especially to Bengaluru and Puducherry, mainly supported the rise in freight rates for these destinations.
Delhi to Bengaluru and Puducherry freight rates rose by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 61,000 and Rs 67,000.
Elsewhere, rest other freight rates hovered around overnight levels on some support.
