JAMMU, Feb 27: A delegation of Pahari Development Forum (PDF) of Paddar led by Thakur Kartar Singh Rathore, senior NC leader and chairman, PDF, district, Kishtwar, met Pervez Dewan, Advisor to Governor NN Vohra, and submitted a memorandum of demands.
The delegation apprised the Advisor on the issue of enhancing scale of ration as per Govt Order No: 19FST of 1995 dated March 22, 1995, adding that the present scale of BPL ration under National Food Security Act (NFST) is not sufficient for the inhabitants of most remote areas of the Paddar Nagsani, Marwah Warwan, Dachan and seasonal migrants like Gaddi Bakarwals.
The delegation said that besides this APL quota as per special status mentioned in the above mentioned order may be supplied for their daily living.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and directed the Commissioner Secretary, CAPD Department for submitting a detailed report on the issue for early action.
Dayakrishan Sharma, Bodh Raj, Jagan Nath, Chet Singh and Gurdesh Sharma, were part of the delegation.
