JAMMU, Feb 27: RS Pura police arrested a criminal along with country made pistol.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura police station laid a naka and asked a person to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the person escaped from the spot. Smelling something fishy, the cops chased and nabbed the person.
During checking, police recovered a country made pistol (Katta) from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Kamaljeet Singh alias Kaidon, son of Karamjeet Singh of Kaloyan, RS Pura.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against him at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SI Ashwani made the arrest under the supervision of SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Singh Manhas, SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
