14000 ltrs kerosene like chemical seized from two trucks, one arrested

SAMBA, Feb 27: Police seized 14000 litres of kerosene oil like chemical from two tankers at Pallah Morh and arrested one person.
As per police sources, on receipt of reliable information, a team from Samba police station conducted raid at Pallah Morh Samba where two oil tankers of same registration number PB08AT-3135 were parked.
On seeing police party, the drivers of both the vehicles tried to flee from the spot but driver of one of the oil tanker namely Harjeet Singh, son of Tarlok Singh of Jallandhar Punjab was nabbed.
During checking of the vehicles, police found 14000 litres kerosene like chemical. Naib Tehsildar Samba was called on the spot and samples of the said substance from both the oil tankers were got collected and sent to FSL for its examination. Both the oil tankers have been seized.
A case under FIR Number 29/16 under Section 420 RPC and 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Police Station Samba Inspector Sanjeev Chib made the arrest and seized the chemical under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Samba Varinder Singh and SSP Samba Joginder Singh.
