JKPS celebrates 69th Jayanti of Sant Gora Ji

JAMMU, Feb 27: J&K Prajapati Sabha (JKPS) celebrated the 69th Jayanti of Sant Sri Gora Ji Maharaj with great fervour at Gora Ji Temple, below Indira Chowk, here today.
A large number of devotees from different parts of Jammu province attended the religious function. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member Parliamant, Jammu-Poonch, was the chief guest where as BJP State president, Sat Pal Sharma and MLA Jammu-East, Rajesh Gupta, were guests of honour.
The chief guest along with other guests paid floral tributes to the great Saint and prayed for peace and prosperity of the State.
The function, which was presided over by Ayoudhya Kumar Mahawa, president of the Sabha, started with Guru Poojan, Aarti followed by bhajans and kirtan.
A special singer party comprising Arun Prajapati, Tarun Prajapati and Manish Prajapati from Happur (Uttar Pradesh) enthralled the gathering with devotional songs sung by them.
President of the Sabha, in his address greeted the devotees and projected the issue of 27% reservation to OBCs. He criticized the previous Governments of J&K for not providing justice to OBCs and appealed the present administration to implement the recommendations of Mandal Commission in the State.
General secretary of the Sabha, FC Salia, submitted a charter of demands to the chief guest and requested him to take the same with Governor NN Vohra, for early redressal.
Earlier, various speakers highlighted the rich values of teachings of Gora Ji for love, peace and brotherhood, which they said should be practiced by all.
Prominent social workers from Prajapati Community belonging to other States, who attended the function were Pritam Bhardwaj (Delhi), Harbans Lal Parinda (Punjab), and Dr KK Verma (Haryana).
