SRINAGAR, Feb 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian conducted surprise inspection of various health institutions and placed 21 doctors under suspension for unauthorized absence from duty.
The doctors, who were suspended are Dr Muneer, Dr Sheikh M Amin, Dr Bashir Ahmed Teli, Dr Khalid Abass Molvi, Dr Nisar Ahmed Shah, Dr Nusrat Jan, Dr Mohammad Ismail, Dr Rayees Ahmad Dar, Dr Sabeena, Dr Malik Abdul Nasir, Dr Suliman Seth, Dr Arshid Hussain Wani, Dr Shafat Bilal, Dr Asiya Ishaq, Dr Sheikh Sajjad Hussain, Dr MA Palla, Dr Sheikh Sood, Dr Mehraj-Din, Dr Arshid Ahmed Sofi, Dr Shafhat Rashid Tak and Dr Amin Sagar.
Further pending enquiry into the matter, DC ordered that one day salary will be deducted from the salary bills of the doctors in accordance with the norm of “No Work No Pay’.
DC has directed for maintaining punctuality in health institutions and other offices and warned of strict action against the absentees.
