BJP expects Congress support in war against terrorism: Dr Jitendra

Excelsior Correspondent
Jammu, Feb 27: Taking a dig at Congress, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today said that BJP expected Congress to support us in campaign against terrorism as they have lost two Prime Ministers in terrorism.
“They (Congress) should rather come forward and join us in campaign against terrorism and battle against terrorism”, Dr Singh told reporters here today.
“Congress is a mainstream party which has lost two Prime Ministers (PMs) to terrorism. We expected them to be with us rather than on the other side”, he said while replying to question over row over Afzal Guru and JNU fiasco.
“More-so because it was during their regime Afzal Guru was hanged after due Judicial process”, he said.
” For whatever has happened over the issue of Afzal Guru, Congress should have supported BJP in war against terrorism because they have lost two Prime Ministers (in fight against terrorism). We had expected this (support) from them”, he said and adding, leader of Rajya Sabha , Arun Jaitley has spoken in detail in the House.
Replying to another question about repealing of AFSPA in J&K, Dr Jitendra Singh said that he was not qualified to speak on that. “It is a matter of security and security agencies will take a call on it. Whatever feasible decision would be taken, it is them to decide”, he said.
On the issue of India-Pakistan match, he said that these things fall in the domain of Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs.
