Srinagar, Feb 28: Ten persons were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said a Sumo bearing registration number JK01E-0954 driven by Mohammad Amin Bhat, collided with a Scooty bearing registration number JK01W-5629 driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir at Khrew in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, resulting in injuries to Scooty rider. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment,” he said, adding that case has been registered in this regard.
The spokesman said a Sumo bearing registration number JK13-5835 and an Alto car bearing registration number JK13-8853 collided with each other along National Highway near Hospital Crossing in Awantipora area of Pulwama district, resulting in injuries to two women namely Fatima Begum and Sabzara Begum who were boarding the Alto car. “Both the injured were shifted to Public Health Center Awantipora for treatment wherefrom they were referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further treatment,” he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
The police spokesman said a Scooty driven by Kifayat Ahmad Sofi met with an accident at Pampai in DH Pora area of Kulgam district, resulting in injuries to Scooty rider and pillion mate namely Abdul Rashid Najar. “Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital Kulgam for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said an unknown tipper hit a motorcycle driven by Abdul Rashid Parray at Kanchattipora in Magam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, resulting in injuries to the driver of motorcycle and pillion mate Ghulam Hassan Beigh. “Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Magam for treatment wherefrom they were referred to JVC Hospital Bemina in Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a Tipper bearing registration number JK01-4607 driven by Umar Rashid Darzi, a car bearing registration number PB09K-2692 driven by Rashid Rasool Changa and an Alto car bearing registration number JK01X-2529 driven by Magin Rashid collided near Model Town Sopore in Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to all the three drivers. “All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
