SRINAGAR, Feb 28: Jammu and Kashmir Unemployed Physical Education and Sports Youths Association (JKUPESA) today staged a protest here demanding filling up of vacant Physical Education (PE) teachers’ posts in education institutes.
Hundreds of unemployed youths today assembled at Press Enclave here and urged State Government to implement already passed Cabinet order regarding the inclusion of Physical Education and Sports Education as subjects in all primary, middle and secondary schools as well as in colleges.
The president of JKUPESA, Hilal Rather, told reporters that sports is at top priority of all Governments in other states of the country unlike Jammu and Kashmir. “Youth Services and Sports Department is having near about 60 to 70 percent vacancies of physical education teachers and there is dire need of filling-up of these posts at an earliest,” he demanded.
