SRINAGAR, Mar 1: Police today said an employee of Power Development Department was killed after getting electrocuted in Bandipora district of North Kashmir.
A police spokesman said an employee of PDD namely Khurshid Ahmad Bhat of Seer Mohalla in Chati Banday village of the district received electric shock while lifting transformer at Guri Hajam Mohalla Argam, resulting in his on spot death.
“After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
