JAMMU, Mar 2: Chairman, Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali, today presided over a meeting convened to review and discus various issues related to security and other facilities being provided to the Legislators.
Legislators, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Shah (Veeri), Narash Kumar Gupta, Sham Lal Bhagat, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Security V. K. Singh, Secretary Legislative Council Abdul Majid Bhat and other officers of police and Council Secretariat were present in the meeting.
A threadbare discussion was held on deployment of PSOs with legislators, providing of BP and non-BP vehicles, fuel for escort vehicles and replacement of old vehicles.
While taking review of the issue of the protocol the Legislators are getting while their official visit to their constituencies, the Chairman directed the concerned to take proper care of the protocol and security arrangements of the law makers.
Haji Anayat also asked the ADGP to provide vehicle to the Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council immediately besides replacing the old one of the Legislators.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Security while briefing about the arrangements made for the Legislators assured that the issues raised would be looked into on priority.
