Jammu, Mar 2: CEO, ERA Vinod Sharma along with senior officials of ERA and consultants of the project conducted site inspection of 1.5 Kms long flyover from Bikram Chowk to Convent School Gandhi Nagar, being constructed at the estimated cost of Rs 71 crore.
Component wise progress of the flyover was discussed and steps to expedite in areas, where progress is lacking. Construction agency directed to expedite overall progress with special emphasis on the critical components.
CEO was briefed that out of 53 piers 47 have been completed, out of 47 deck slabs 13 have been laid. A total of 264 precast girders have been hoisted out of girders 369. It was also decided that as a follow up of to-day site visit, a meeting with principal stakeholders of the project will be held to discuss steps need to be initiated for completion/ commissioning of project by December 2016.
Director Jammu, Project Manager, JKUSDIP, Jammu and Team Leaders of Consultancies and other officers of J&K ERA also accompanied CEO during the site visit.
