JAMMU, Mar 2: Senior NC leader and former MLC Vijay Bakaya has demanded immediate release of the salaries of migrant employees serving in Valley before the Maha Shivratri festival.
In an appeal to Governor N N Vohra, Mr Bakaya demanded that all the migrant employees be paid salaries before the Maha Shivratri festival so that they are not put to any hardships in celebrating the festival.
Mr Bakaya also expressed concern over non payment of salaries to package employees for last three months and said that this trend should be avoided in future and the package employees be paid salaries on the first of every month as is a rule.
He also demanded that the package employees be provided all facilities in Valley and the problems faced by them due to shortage of accommodation be sorted out besides the employees be posted near the district headquarters instead of far flung areas.
