JAMMU, Mar 4: A man and his wife were injured when his brother and his better half attacked them with sharp edged weapons in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, over some property dispute, two real brothers today engaged in a scuffle at Kotli in RS Pura. He said in a fit of anger, one brother identified as Joginder Singh son of Gurmukh Singh accompanied by his wife, Rimpi Kour, attacked the other namely Ranjeet Singh and the latter’s wife, Gurmeet Kour, with a sharp edged weapon (toka).
The spokesman said that the injured couple was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital from where Ranjeet Singh was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
“In the connection, a case under relevant sections has been registered at police station RS Pura and efforts were on to nab the accused couple, who was at large”, he added.
