UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: Sudh Mahadev police rescued a kidnapped minor girl from Himachal Pradesh and nabbed the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by parents of a girl on February 5 with police post Sudh Mahadev stating that their daughter has been kidnapped by Rakesh Kumar, son of Kunj Lal, a resident of Faggu Lati.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 11/16 under Section 363 RPC was registered at Chenani police station and manhunt was launched to trace out the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Sudh Mahadev police post conducted raid at Village Saho, District Chamba, Himachal Pradesh and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape, but police also nabbed him.
The girl was restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Sudh Mahadev police post SI Khyati Maan Khajuria rescued the kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Chenani Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Chenani Vinod Sharma, Additional SP Udhampur Mohan Lal Kaith and SSP Udhampur Suleman Choudhary.
