JAMMU, Mar 5: A woman who had consumed some poisonous substance some days ago and was undergoing treatment here at Government Medical College and Hospital, expired today.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Bimla (50) wife of Hans Raj, a resident of Pouni (Reasi), was shifted here at GMCH on March 3 after she tried to end her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence.
However, the woman expired today at about 3 am. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was today handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police has already taken cognizance of the matter.
