Over 1200 people obtain benefit of medical camp

Srinagar, Mar 5: Army today organized a mega medical camp at Government Health centre in Brein area on city outskirts in conjunction with District Health Administration and GB Pant Hospital.
A defence spokesman said over 1200 people were benefitted from the exclusive medical care including provision of free medicine. “The team of doctors also provided the necessary guidance to lead a healthy lifestyle. The medical team comprised of a Medical Officer, Physician, Gynecologist, Pediatrician, Dental Officer, Nursing officers and six nursing assistants were made available to render medical services to the locals,” he said.
The spokesman said the mothers of infants and children were able to get their children examined by the pediatrician and take valuable advice about maintaining good health during change of weather and remedial measures to counter it.
“The dental treatment was also provided by the team of dental doctor and their assistant who worked tirelessly to attend all the patients… Variety of medicines was distributed to the patients free of cost and refreshments were also catered for the population who had come from far flung areas,” he added.
