Seven persons injured in road accidents

Srinagar, Mar 8: Police today said seven persons were injured in different road accidents in summer capital Srinagar and in frontier Kupwara district.
A police spokesman said an Auto Rickshaw bearing registration number JK01D-4919 driven by Asif Ahmad Khan hit a pedestrian namely Khurshid Ahmad Bhat at Lal Nagar in Chanapora area here resulting in injuries to the pedestrian and a passenger namely Shahid Yousuf Shah who was boarding the Auto. “Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a Santro vehicle bearing registration number JK01W-8770 driven by Aijaz Ahmad Gojri hit and injured a boy namely Faizan Ahmad Magray at Malpora Shamnag in Trehgam area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment,” he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
The spokesman said a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK09-5892 turned turtle at Humander in Hyhama area of Kupwara, resulting in injuries to three passengers. “All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment,” he said, adding that a case has also been registered in this regard.
A Swift vehicle bearing registration number JK01D-568 hit and injured a girl namely Safoora Jan along National Highway near Dragmulla Crossing in Kupwara. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment,” he said, adding that a case has been registered.
