POONCH, Mar 8: An educational and motivational tour under operation Sadbhavana was flagged off here today.
A tour of twenty children from the border villages of Poonch was flagged off under the aegis of Ace of Spade Division of the Army. Deputy Commander Poonch Brigade addressed the smartly dressed children before flagging off the tour.
The tour shall provide an excellent opportunity to the under privileged and poor children of remote border areas to visit the Pink City, Ajmer and the National capital.
The children shall visit many schools and educational institutes, science and cultural museums, historical sites and meet many civil and military dignitaries at Jaipur and New Delhi during this period.
The children shall visit Hawa Mahal, India Gate and Dargah Sharief.
This initiative is yet another step undertaken by the Army towards highlighting the importance of peace and development in the State to these young minds, who shall immensely benefit from such experiences. The tour shall conclude on March 16.
