KATHUA, Mar 8: Kathua police has arrested a rape accused from Karhkara border village near Punjab today.
Police source said a police party from PS Kathua on a tip off raided the village today and arrested Ajay Kumar son of Narotam Kumar of village Jarai falling under the jurisdiction of Kathua PS who was accused for outraging the modesty of a girl on March 2 in the village. The Kathua police has registered a case under Section 376 RPC in this regard.
Meanwhile Tarseem Lal a CRPF jawan accused in murder of his uncle Ramesh Chander in village Pargoli of Hiranagar yesterday surrendered before the Hiranagar Police today.
The accused had fled after the murder. However he surrendered before the police today. The Hiranagar Police had already registered a case under relevant sections of law against him.
