Bodies handed over to family members after over two months

RAMBAN, Mar 8: In a very shocking incident, the bodies of the Dalwas fire incident, which happened during the intervening night of December 31 and January 1, were handed over to family members for last rites after over two months today.
As per police sources, District Administration and police after receiving the DNA report handed over the dead bodies of nine persons, who were charred to death in a devastating fire in Dalwas to their family members for last rites.
The deceased were buried earlier at Kohbag Ramban because their identities were not ascertained as the bodies were totally charred.
After receiving the DNA reports, the bodies of the deceased have been identified as Desraj, son of Amar Nath of Sarore Udhampur, Davinder Kumar, son of Ghyan Chand of Jaganu Udhampur, Shokat Ali, son of Lal hussain of Punjab, Irfan Latief, son of Abdul Latief of Thathri Doda, Naseer-u-Din, son of Rehamat ullah of Tethar Banihal, Ishfaq Ahmed, son of Umar Din Bhat of Chareel Banihal, Sheikh Irfan, son of Najee-ur-Rehman of Chareel Banihal, Rohit Kumar, son of Subash Chand of Punjab and Mohammad Rafiq, son of Mohd Ibrahim of Drabshala Kishtwar.
