Pak shared input with New Delhi on entry of 10 terrorists to India from its soil: Interior Minister

ISLAMABAD/NEW DELHI : Pakistan Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has confirmed reports that Islamabad had given intelligence input to New Delhi regarding entry of abut 10 terrorists entering India from its territory.
The Interior Minister told the Senate during a briefing about the National Action Plan that non-state actors had brought disrepute to Pakistan and it was for that reason that the Nawaz Sharif Government shared the intelligence about the entry of suspects to India. Gujarat, New Delhi and a number of other cities had been on Sunday put on high alert after the intelligence input that terror strikes in crowded place may take place.
According to security authorities in Delhi, these terrorists, who are members of the Lashkar-e-Toiaba (LeT) and the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), had sneaked over to this side of the border through Gujarat to attack various places in capital like shopping malls, hospitals, schools and colleges. Mr Khan said the Government of Pakistan wanted to avoid any incidents involving non-state actors who had tarnished the image of the country.
He also repeated his claim before the Pakistan National Assembly?s Upper House that there was no presence of Islamic State group in Pakistan and that some disgruntled Taliban leaders were using the organisation’s name to terrorise the masses. (AGENCIES)
