Rajendra puts police on alert

JAMMU, Mar 11: In the wake of predictions of heavy rains and snow fall in some areas of the State, Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar has put the police administration on alert. He has asked to mobilise men and machinery to assist the civil administration in case of any exigency.
Mr. Rajendra, in a communiqué from Police Headquarters (PHQ) has directed all Police formations including SDRF, Executive and Armed Police to be vigilant and act quickly in case of any eventuality. He has directed all Range and District officers to work in closed coordination with the civil administration and take all precautionary measures, particularly in the far-flung areas for the safety of the people. Ensure road connectivity in the remote areas to ease the difficulties of the people, Rajendra has stressed.
DGP has asked to gear up the SDRF teams with required equipment for any rapid action. Communication network shall also be geared up to ensure coordination among different formation for which Police Control Rooms shall function round the clock.
