RAMBAN, Mar 11: Ramsoo police arrested a thief along with stolen vehicle.
As per police sources, during naka checking, police intercepted a Tavera car bearing registration number JK14C-5687.
Police asked the driver of the vehicle to produce the documents of vehicle, but he failed. During questioning, driver revealed that the vehicle has been stolen from Batote.
The accused identified as Umar Shafi, son of Mohammad Shafi of Chanapora Srinagar was arrested and handed over to Batote police for further investigation.
A case under FIR Number 16/16 under Section 379 RPC stands registered against the accused with Batote police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Police Station Ramsoo Inspector Mohammad Ameen made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
