JAMMU, Mar 12: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Danesh Rana today inspected newly constructed naka points with guard rooms established in border areas–Miran Sahib, Bishnah and Arnia. He was accompanied by Ramesh Kotwal, Superintendent of Police (SP) Headquarters Jammu.
Danesh Rana inspected the new guard rooms constructed at naka points at Miran Sahib, Kotli Mian Fateh, Mehmoodpur, Deoli, Sibu Chack and Ratnal. He also imparted necessary directions and instructions to SP Headquarters and concerned SHOs, Incharge Police Posts and Incharge Naka Points to maintain utmost alertness and ensure strict checking of vehicles and passengers passing through these naka points.
He also briefed them about the present security scenario of Jammu Province particularly in border area in view of inputs received from sister agencies. They were also directed to remain extra vigilant on their respective points so that nefarious design of the anti-national elements and anti-social elements are thwarted.
Besides, in view of the recently detected tunnel near border, all supervisory officers were directed to have effective co-ordination with all intelligence agencies, BSF and Army deployed in their respective areas. They were also directed to maintain close liaison with inhabitants of the border areas.
All resources should be utilized to generate the intelligence relating information and disseminate the same to next senior officers immediately for timely action, IGP added.
