Formulate regularization policy for NHM employees: Tarigami

JAMMU, Mar 12: CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, has underlined that there is a dire need to chalk out a regularization mechanism for the NHM employees including doctors, para-medical and management staff working under National Health Mission.
In a statement issued here, the CPI (M) leader said that NHM employees be regularized on the analogy adopted for regularization of contractual, adhoc and daily wagers of various departments in the State.
“The NHM employees are paid only 1/3rd of emoluments in comparison to their counterparts in the State which needs to be enhanced substantially keeping in view the nature of their duties and price escalations”, the MLA added.
He also demanded that these employees be brought under insurance cover and provident fund scheme. He urged that ASHA workers be also paid fixed incentives @Rs 1500 per month at par with other states as they have been performing duties dedicatedly and under hard conditions.
