SKPA conducts course for Inspectors to SPs

UDHAMPUR, Mar 12: Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) conducted week long course on “Developing good communication skills, behaviour attitude and responsibilities towards general public” for Inspectors to Superintendents of Police.
The main objective of the course was to make all the participant officers well aware about the modes of better communication and behaviour towards general public which includes behaviour attitude of police with public, human behaviour-an insight into people’s behaviour towards the police, human behaviour and role of police, communication–oral, written, non-verbal and barriers in communication and measures to overcome them, time management, communication-the most effective management tool.
Considering the change in the social setup, nature of crimes and evolution of the concept of rights and freedoms, Jammu and Kashmir Police has pioneered to conduct the course on “Good Communication skills, behavioural attitude and responsibilities towards general public” with objectives to sensitize the police force, regarding their duties and responsibilities towards the general public.
In pursuant to these objectives SKPA under the guidance of Director Rajesh Kumar, IGP conducted one week course on “Developing good communication skills, behaviour attitude and responsibilities towards general public” for Inspectors to Superintendents of Police which was coordinated by Ravinder Kumar Rao, DDP and Assistant Director (Indoor), Pankaj Sethi, SrPO.
The various resource persons from different fields delivered lectures and shared their valuable experiences on various topics assigned to them.
One week course was concluded by Rajesh Kumar, IGP, Director SKPA Udhampur. He stressed upon participants to enlighten their souls and to refresh and impart better ways and techniques among the officers for the development and prosperity of Police Department and safeguard the rights of the people.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, Assistant Director (Admn) and Randheer Singh, Assistant Director (Outdoor) were also present.
