SMVDU faculty, scholars present research work in 41st annual conference of ISHG

JAMMU, Mar 13: Dr Ekta Rai, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra gave a talk presenting research work from her recent publication in highly reputed international Journal in Biology, “eLife”, in the prestigious 41st annual conference of Indian Society of Human Genetics (ISHG) at Chennai.
The conference was organized by Vision Research Foundation and Shankar Netrayalaya from March 3-5. This annual meeting and conference brought together academicians, professionals, scientists and other stakeholders from across the globe to discuss the latest advances in the field of Human Genetics and their implications in Indian perspectives.
The presentation was very well appreciated as it provided new perspectives in understanding human disorders. PhD Scholars: Varun Sharma, Indu Sharma and Inderpal Singh, presented their research work as posters in the conference thereby bringing laurels to the University in the field of Human Genetics.
Dr Swarkar Sharma, Assistant Professor, participated in the meeting as life member of the society and discussed various future projects and scientific collaborations with prominent national and international scientists in the field of Human Genetics.
