UDHAMPUR, Mar 13: The police arrested four persons for gambling and seized stake money from them at Bus Stand, Ramnagar today.
A police spokesman said that acting on a tip off, a police party from Ramnagar Police Station conducted a raid in Bus Stand area during the day today and arrested all the four persons for gambling. The Police also seized Rs 5300 stake money from their possession.
They were identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Dhani Ram from Chakal village in Basantgarh; Dev Raj, son of Thakur Dass, resident of Amroh; Salim Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed hailing from Jaganoo and Virender Singh, son of Rattan Singh from Pardaka village in Ramnagar. They were booked under Gambling Act.
