POONCH, Mar 15: The ex-servicemen from district Poonch today held protest demonstration against the remarks of controversial JNU student Kanhiya for raising serious allegations against Indian Army fighting terrorists in Kashmir.
A large number of ex-servicemen assembled near Fort complex and held protest demonstration demanding action against the controversial student leader. Former defence personnel, J S Khajuria was leading the protest. They were also joined by Poonch Youth Forum members including Nishu Gupta and Saourabh Sharma.
They burnt the effigy of JNU student and demanded that stern action should be taken against such anti-national elements. They said Army is carrying massive Sadbhavna projects in J&K and helping people but he was speaking the language of terrorists and anti-nationals and trying to defame Indian Army. After staging protest for about an hour they dispersed.
