JAMMU, Mar 15: The Steering Committee of Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA), headed by Chief Secretary B R Sharma in its 11th meeting today approved the revised Annual Plan of Operation (APO) for Wildlife Conservation and Protection for the year 2015-16.
The Committee reviewed the physical and financial progress achieved till date in respect of Wildlife Conservation and Protection in J&K.
The Steering Committee also held detailed deliberations on improving the overall functioning of the Wildlife Department in the state so that proposals like developing GIS information of National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries, Management of Wetlands, habitat improvement, capacity building, handling man-animal conflict, education and awarness etc are implemented effectively at the earliest.
