KATHUA, Mar 16: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Neeva Jain reviewed the security arrangements in private institutions by conducting meeting with Principals of the schools.
SSP Kathua interacted with the participants and made them aware about the current security scenario and crimes to which children of their institutions could be exposed.
SSP Kathua recommended all to take extensive security measures to strengthen security of their institutions like proper boundary wall with adequate height around the parameter of school premises should be constructed and wall should be guarded with concertina wire, private security guards should be deployed on both the entry points, CCTV cameras should be installed at strategic locations, intercom phone should be installed on both gates/office for effective communication, important phone numbers including Police, Ambulance and Fire Service should be displayed at conspicuous places, mock exercise should be conducted and special briefing session should be given to staff and students on security issues.
The participants requested SSP Kathua to conduct women self defence training for the girl students which she had already organized in different colleges and other institutions.
SSP Kathua agreed to their proposal and assured all possible cooperation to them.
