Four injured in road mishaps, one in assault

JAMMU, Mar 17: Four persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts while a man was injured in a physical attack by some miscreants in Patyalachak area falling within the limits of police station Domana..
According to a police spokesperson, Ramesh Kumar (45) son of Nikka Ram, a resident of Inder Nagar (Talab Tillo), was injured when the bike on which he was travelling, was hit by an unknown vehicle tonight at Nagbani near Petrol Pump.
Similarly, a bike was also hit by an unknown vehicle at Chowadi this morning. In the mishap, bike rider identified as Arif Hussain (35) son of Rakam Din, a resident of Chowadi, got injured.
At Seri Panditan area falling under the limits of police station Gharota, two youths were injured when the bike on which they were going on, got slipped this evening. The injured have been identified as Nizam (18) son of Tali Hussain and Arif Hussain (20) son of Ghulam Rasool.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, in Patyalachak area near Punnu di hatti, four miscreants this evening badly thrashed a man over some issue and snatched about Rs 6000 in cash from him. The injured man was shifted to GMCH for treatment. On the complaint of the victim, who was identified as Vipan Sharma son of Kamal Lal, a resident of Sangrampur, a case was registered at police Station Domana under sections 341/323, 382 RPC against one Mangal Singh son of Yogeshwar Singh, a resident of Smailpur (Marh) and three others. No arrest could be made in the case till the last reports came in.
