KATHUA, Mar 19: MLA Bani Jeewan Lal has demanded immediate compensation for the people whose houses and crops were damaged during last couple of days rain and hail storm in Bani.
In a statement issued here today, Mr Lal said that six houses have been damaged in Bani and last night the house of Mehar Singh in Fatehpur Bani was also damaged by rain completely. Besides, the standing crops, vegetables and fruit trees were also damaged by hail storm and heavy rains in the area putting the farmers to a heavy loss. The MLA demanded immediate compensation for these people.
