Srinagar, Mar 22: Police today said two minors were killed while two others were injured in different road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said an unknown vehicle hit and injured a minor girl namely Iram at Pariwan village of Kulgam district. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kulgam for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries. After completion of legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal hairs for last rites,” he said, adding a case has been registered in this regard.
The spokesman said an I-10 vehicle JK18A-1464 driven by Jahangir Ahmad Dar hit and injured a minor boy namely Haris Ahmad near Shurat village of Kulgam. “The injured was shifted to a Srinagar hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal hairs for last rites,” he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
The spokesman said a Sumo bearing registration number JK09-8209 driven by Showkat Ahmad Khowja hit and injured a minor girl namely Soliha Qadir near Sub District Hospital Karalpora in Kupwara district. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01L-9154 hit and injured a pedestrian namely Altaf Hussain Mir at Rakh Shalina in Nowgam area on city outskirts here. “The injured was shifted to SHMS Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
