DODA, Mar 24: Five persons received injuries, when the vehicle they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near village Puneja, falling under the jurisdiction of Thathri police station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-4218 was on its way to Puneja Chiralla from Doda this afternoon, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge, resulting into injuries to five persons.
After getting information, police team and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Doda, where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Amit Kumar of Shaja, Ram Raj, son of Shankar Lal of Jasola, Mohit Kumar, son of Ram Raj of Jasola, Rajinder Singh, son of Prem Lal of Gurandra and Dharminder Singh, son of Dev Raj of Bhalara.
A case in this regard has been registered at Thathri police station and investigation started.
