One killed, five injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Mar 24: A man was killed while five others were injured in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a youth was killed while two others sustained serious injuries in the collision of a scorpio and a tractor at Panjgrian area of Nagrota in city outskirts, on Wednesday.
He said that the body of the deceased identified as Deepak Kumar (22) son of Sansar Chand, a resident of Suketar, was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after completing all medico-legal formalities while the injured identified as Ramesh Kumar (38) of Katra and Tirath Ram (35) son of Shiv Ram, a resident of Suketar, were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for treatment.
At Sidhra area in city outskirts, a bike hit and injured an unknown male of age about 40 years while in the collision of a car and a bike in Gangyal area, one Rajesh Choudhary (19) son of Bansa Ram of Phlian Mandal got injured. Also, a pedestrian identified as Pardeep Kumar (18) son of Kalil Singh, a resident of Doda, was injured when a rashly driven truck hit him while he was crossing a road at Gangyal.
All the injured were shifted to GMCH for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
