JAMMU, Mar 25: A meeting of All J&K Electric Department Linemen and Workers’ Union (EDLWU) was held today wherein the workers stressed for implementation of SRO 381 of 1981 in letter and spirit.
The meeting was chaired by Tara Chand, president, EDLWU, Jammu province, and was attended by office bearers and members of the union.
While addressing the participants, Tara Chand said that the department of PDD has been violating sub ordinate service recruitment rules for past about 25 years by assigning designations of Tech I, II, III and V.
While alleging that some vested interests in the department are hell bent upon to avoid proper assigning of designations to employees, he invited the attention of Power Development Commissioner towards the letter No PDD/VI-J/05/2016 dated March 8, 2016 of Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Power Development Department, wherein it has been directed for assigning proper designations to the employees.
Tara Chand appealed the authorities of PDD for implementing the conditions of SRO 381 of 1981 in letter and spirit for best interest of the employees.
