JAMMU, Mar 25: Police arrested four gamblers along with Rs 4300 stake money and playing cards from Geeta Colony area, falling under the jurisdiction of Akhnoor police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Akhnoor police station conducted raid in Geeta Colony area and arrested four gamblers along with Rs 4300 stake money and playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Surinder Kumar and Kuldeep Ram, both sons of Madan Lal of Geeta Colony Akhnoor, Vishal Singh, son of Dhanater Singh and Ravinder Singh, son of Amar Singh, both residents of Mohallah Chandian, Akhnoor.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhoor Gurvinder Pal Singh and Additional SP Rural Arun Gupta.
