REASI, Mar 25: In a major success, Reasi Police has busted a gang of bike lifters and recovered ten stolen motorcycles on the instance of two arrested accused persons.
The arrested accused were identified as Balbir Kumar alias Pittu of Geeta Nagar Reasi and his associate Rohit Kumar alias Cobra of Vijaypur Reasi.
During preliminary investigation by Police, the duo disclosed that they were involved in bike lifting for the last two years and many of the stolen bikes had been sold to the scrap dealers after dismantling the same.
These motorcycles were stolen from different parts of Jammu city and the gang was busted by a Police team, comprising of SHO Reasi, Inspector Daleep Singh, ASI Vijay Kumar and HC Baldev Singh, under the supervision of SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar.

Police is expecting more recoveries from the accused.
Meanwhile, Police also busted a store of stolen items and recovered stolen properties worth lakhs of rupees.
Police team from PP Talwara, led by SI Ved Parkash raided ‘ Bhat Communication Store’, situated at Talwara, which was being used for keeping and selling different stolen properties. During the raid, Police recovered stolen items, including Electric poles, electric wires, copper wires, silver wire, gas cylinders, gas stoves , weilding machines etc.
In this regard FIR No. 43/2016 U/S 379/411 RPC has been registered at P/S Reasi against Javid Ahmed Bhatt of Nai Basti Reasi and investigation was going on.
