JAMMU, Mar 26: A woman was arrested today with intoxicant capsules here near general Bus Stand.
According to a police spokesman, a police party of police station Bus Stand while on patrolling duty near MIER, BC Road, Jammu found one lady identified as Rajni Devi wife of Gyan Chand, a resident of Batyaal (Kanachak), roaming in suspicious circumstances.
He said that on seeing the police, the lady tried to conceal her belongings and managed to escape from the spot. “However, the active police party headed by SI Mohd Din apprehended her. On checking her belongings, police party recovered 80 intoxicating capsules (Spasmo Proxyvon) from her belongings”, he said, adding the woman was arrested on the spot and the intoxicants seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No 13/2016 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at police station Bus Stand.
The arrest and recovery was made by a police team led by SHO Bus Stand, Inspector Abid Rafiqi under the close supervision of Vivek Sheikhar Sharma, SDPO City North and Dr Vinod Kumar, SP City North.
