MENDHAR, Mar 26: A Maruti Van caught fire at Revenue Colony here last mid night.
Reports said that Maruti Van No. JK02B/9248, belonging to one Mohd Nissar, resident of Kottan village and presently residing in Mendhar suddenly caught fire at around 2 am. The locals woke up after a watchman sounded alert.
They informed Fire Service men and started fire fighting operation by pouring water on the vehicle. They controlled the fire themselves and also stopped it from spreading it to nearby parked vehicles. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
